MEET LARKYN
owner and designer
My love for interior design began in my childhood as I watched my Mom excitedly pull over the car to stop at any and every antique sign in Western New York. Our house was filled with gorgeous antiques she'd uncovered in some dusty old barn. She taught me to look for quality pieces that make your heart race and to appreciate how these pieces enhance a home.
I took that love of admiring pieces of provenance with me as I studied Art History at the University of New Hampshire and later as I worked for an art dealer in San Francisco. After many years in San Francisco, a job change led me and my husband to Salt Lake City, UT and eventually, in 2014, to renovating our own home in the Federal Heights neighborhood.
That first hand experience in home renovation evolved into Larkyn Interiors and I have since worked with dozens of clients in the Avenues, Federal Heights, SugarHouse, Park City, and Sandy.
